Let’s be honest, the decor makes all the difference in a restaurant experience! And the Saint-Crème company has understood this very well!
"Located in Alma in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, a small church has been transformed into a hotel and restaurant, to offer customers and tourists a visit completely different from what can be seen elsewhere.
First of all, 10 modern hotel rooms have been fitted out on the rood screen (the upper floor of a church, which is often hidden by a wooden or stone fence).
In the nave of the old church (the large room where people usually sit during ceremonies), a creamery and a sandwich/bagel shop/pizzeria have been set up.
The restaurant menu features a wide variety of bagel-based sandwiches, which are made fresh on site every day.
However, if you're more of a pizza person, Saint-Crème hosts pizza parties every Friday night at 5 p.m., which are cooked in the huge bagel oven. To attend, we strongly recommend booking in advance, as the place fills up very quickly.
Finally, what better way to end your meal than with a delicious ice cream? The ice cream shop is open all summer long, and offers new products every week.
Choose from an impressive selection of vegan mochi, homemade waffle cones, soft serve, sundaes or frozen yogurt, enough to satisfy your sweet tooth!
In short, for a unique experience in the province, it's at Saint-Crème in Alma that it's happening!
