Another big prize for Saint-Crème

The Saint-Crème is the winner of the “Reuse d’un bâtiment patrimoine 2024” award issued by the Conseil du Patrimoine Religieux du Québec. The award was presented to its young 25-year-old owner, Vincent Lavoie, on September 19 in Rivière-du-Loup, during the annual Forum on Religious Heritage.

Last night was the 25th OSEntreprendre Desjardins Grands Prix gala. The Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region was well represented and Vincent Lavoie’s project, Autel-Relais and Saint-Crème Bar Laitier, stood out from the crowd. The 24-year-old entrepreneur is taking home $20,000 in grants.

$2.3 million will be invested to give a second life to the Sainte-Marie de l’Isle-Maligne church in Alma. The investment is significant, as is the transformation project. In less than a year, the church will become a hotel ready to welcome tourists for the summer of 2023.
